Robiesque Bowl Chandeliers
While bowl chandeliers are not the type of chandelier that comes to mind for most people, there are worth giving a mention as they can be so attractive. From appearance they are more suited to a pendant lighting section, but those shown here from Bellacor are described in the catalog as chandeiliers, so they are included here.
The first two pictures are from the Robiesque lighting range, inspired by the classic Robie House in Chicago.
The first picture is of the square shaped Tiffany bowl, while the second is of a more intricate octagonal shaped bowl, with bronze finish contrasting with the natural copper foil tiffany shade.
These two Robiesque ceiling lights have classic appeal, but may not complement too sleek and modern a decor. They would, however, add rustic appeal to lodge decor and some other country homes. With their warm natural colors reflecting the colors of the forest, they do have a rustic charm that does not suggest an influence of a large city such as Chicago. However, that was a Chicago of another era, when darkler tones were more likely to be the basis of interior design.
It is not just these colorful Robiesque style pendants that are referred to as chandeliers. The picture on the left, which is undoubtedly suited to many modern home decor themes, is called the Brass and Crystal Bowl Chandelier, and is manufactured by Kichler.
This modern and stylish ceiling light manages to combine traditional design with modern appeal, and features a 24% lead crystal bowl, in inverted style, and has a shiny polished brass trim, with scroll accents.
